Hip Hop Saved My Soul

I have been dealing with a lot of stuff in my life lately and as I was laying in bed trying to go to sleep one night I almost lost it.  Here is a Rhyme/ Poem that I wrote about what happened.  Enjoy!

Hip Hop Saved My Soul

Heart and mind are racing, need to shout

Can’t sleep, layin in bed, freakin out

On the edge of sanity, about to fall

One more step and I’m in, I lose it all

The assault is continuous, my sanity’s under attack

Always one step forward, two steps back

About to give in, to stress, pain and dread

When I hear this beat go off, in the back of my head

The beat calls to me, like a long lost friend

It whispers in my ear “Don’t give up, the fights not over, this isn’t the end.”

As I struggle to hold on, to the last shards of me

Rhymes start to flow with the beat and it sets me free

I don’t recall the beats, or the rhymes that flowed with’em

All I have are these words, to pay homage to’em

In one of my darkest hours, when I was about to lose control

Hip Hop set me free, and it saved my soul.

Animal Cookies

ME:  What are you doing Luke?  LUKE:  He was trying to get away so I ate his legs now he can't go any where.  ME:  Good idea, they try to get away if you don't keep an eye on them.

The Joy

My mom went on a walk and found a jingle bell ring and Savi loved it.

This kid is always happy.

I have a new found love for Grapefruit. I cut one in half and some how peeled it without messing up the peel and left it on the counter over nite. The color and texture where so amazing I just had to share them with you. Enjoy.

Hearst Castle
